Temporary food service establishments may be operated in conjunction with a
special event or celebration for a time not to exceed fourteen (14) consecutive
days. All temporary food service operations shall contact the Environmental
Health Division 14 days prior to the event and complete an
Application to Operate a Temporary Food Service Establishment.
All temporary food service operations shall comply with the
Temporary Food Service Requirements
as per the Texas Food Establishment Rules, ยง229.170.
All events open to the public in which food is
conveyed shall obtain a temporary food service establishment permit and comply
with all temporary food service requirements. Non-profit organizations (such as
schools, religious organizations, and governmental agencies) hosting special
events in which food is conveyed are exempt from the permit fee, but shall
comply with all temporary food service requirements. Fees for a Temporary Food
Service permit are found on the Application to Operate a Temporary Food Service
Establishment.
Special Events held within the City of
Victoria, with two or more for-profit food vendors, shall review the
Temporary Food Service Requirements for Event Organizers,
complete an Application to Operate a Temporary Food Service Establishment, and
provide the Environmental Health Division with a
list of all food vendors participating
at the special event. Event organizers have the option to pay a fee of $100.00
to cover all food vendors OR each food vendor will be responsible for paying
$50.00 for a Temporary Food Service Establishment permit.
