About the Program

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a health and nutrition program with a successful record for improving the diet of infants, children, and pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women who are at risk for nutrition-related illness. The main focus of the WIC program is to educate mothers on the proper nutrition for babies and young children. WIC promotes a better quality of life for Texas’ most vulnerable children by providing healthful foods, nutrition education for parents, support for mothers who breastfeed, and medical and social-service referrals. Through referrals, WIC is able to aid participants in accessing further health care and other educational benefits.

Local Information

WIC of Victoria services 5 counties: Calhoun, DeWitt, Jackson, Goliad, and Victoria. Clinic sites are in Cuero, Edna, Goliad, Port Lavaca, Seadrift, Yoakum, Yorktown and Victoria. 1st and 3rd Monday of each month

2nd and 4th Monday of each month

9:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. & 12:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. (Admin. Office open
from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm)
