Where to Apply
You may obtain an application at the Administrative Services Department at the address listed above between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Applications must be returned to the Administrative Services Department.

Some openings with the Victoria County Sheriff's Office require that you pick up and return the application form in person. Their offices are located at 101 N. Glass Street. Any job opening with this requirement will carry a notice to this effect.

How to Apply
Pick up an employment application from a location mentioned above. You may take an application with you and return it later.

Complete the application with all the information requested. You may attach a resume to the application if you wish, however, resumes alone are not considered an application. If you are applying for more than one position, then you may make photocopies of your completed application; however, you should be certain that the correct position title appears on each application.

Return the completed applications to the Administrative Services Department before 5pm on the date of the deadline date given. If you return the application by mail, the envelope must be postmarked by the deadline.

After Applying
Your application is sent to the department which will hire for the position. If that department wishes to interview you, then they will telephone you to make arrangements. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

If the position requires a specific typing speed, then they will also arrange for you to take a typing test.
