About Us
VCCHD/Special
Services provides support, assistance, and educational services to persons
living with HIV/AIDS as well as those affected by the virus living in the
Victoria area. The seven counties in the service area include
Victoria, Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, and Lavaca.
We
are a division of the Victoria City-County Health Department located at:

Our
hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. We are closed for
all major holidays. Recorded phone information is available after hours
giving emergency instructions.

We
are closed for all major holidays.
VCCHD/Special
Services was established in January 1992 through a collaborative effort between
Victoria City-County Health Department and Gulf Bend MHMR Center to secure Ryan
White CARE Act Title II funds. Beginning with a very modest budget and
just four clients, Special Services has served more than 300 HIV+ people in the
Crossroads area.

Services is committed to providing client services that are:

Clients
are seen by appointments. We are aware that emergencies occur and can
usually accommodate walk-ins if necessary. To ensure prompt attention to
